Welcome to the Park City Learning Center (PCLC).
The Park City Learning Center began as a school within a school at Park City High School. In it's infancy, PCLC applied for and received charter status and was a charter school within the Park City School District for four years. In May of 2005, the Park City Board of Education chose to end the charter status and it is presently an alternative education facility for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.
The Park City Learning Center is a unique high school program which serves a diverse population of students in a very nurturing, firm, and fair environment. The program is desinged to assist student who have not found success in a typical high school setting. Class sizes are small and the opportunity for greater one-on-one attention to address individual student needs is the halmark of this program. We have an outstanding staff who are committed to work with the challenges that are the Learning Center. We have forged a collaborative relationship with PCHS. There is almost daily conatct with PCHS administrators, counselors, ESL, Special education and regular education staff, again in support of student success here at the Learning Center.
The Learning Center is also home to our 18-22 year old special education transition program. The purpose of this program is to maximize the opportunities for all of our students in the areas of employment, independent living, adult living, and post secondary education. The goal is for a seamless transition between school district programs and adult living.
If you have any questions about the center or would like more information, please contact us.
